The EHPC Pediatric Annex describes how the region will respond to an influx of pediatric patients. This plan is intended to support, not, replace, any existing facility plan by providing uniform response actions. This is the first of five annex plans required to be written and exercised by the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response.
This workshop (hybrid) will provide a review of the regional pediatric annex plan with a specific focus on activation. A pediatric patient surge scenario will be provided in order to walk through the plan. This workshop aims to increase familiarity with the plan and will provide information valuable to the forthcoming tabletop exercise.
In the fall of 2021 a region wide blended virtual/in-person tabletop exercise will take place. The Concepts and Objectives for the exercise will be developed during this meeting.
Coalition members from other counties are encouraged to attend this workshop and the tabletop either virtually or in Pitt County where a larger conference area that permits social distancing is available. This exercise will present a large-scale incident that will require resources from across the region.
Everyone will be waitlisted and once you are confirmed for the workshop, you can request a webex link if you are unable to attend in person.
